Terms of Service
Draft. PetMatch is in private beta. By using the service you agree to these terms in their current form. A finalized version reviewed by counsel will be posted before public launch.
The service
PetMatch lets you upload photos of your pets and discover visually similar pets from a curated library and from other users’ uploads. It is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind.
Your account
You must be 13 or older to create an account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Don’t share your login credentials.
What you upload
You retain ownership of any photo you upload. By uploading, you grant PetMatch a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your photos for the purpose of providing the matching service. You confirm you have the right to upload each photo.
Prohibited content
Don’t upload photos that aren’t of pets, contain people without their consent, contain copyrighted or trademarked material you don’t own, or are otherwise illegal. We may remove any content or terminate accounts that violate this.
Limits
Don’t scrape the site, abuse our APIs, attempt to reverse engineer the matching algorithm in bulk, or circumvent rate limits.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Liability
PetMatch is provided as-is. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to active accounts.
